Do I need a visa to visit Egypt?
Most nationalities can obtain an e-visa online or a visa on arrival at Cairo airport. We send a step-by-step guide once your tour is confirmed and can arrange it for you on request.
Are your tours private or in a group?
Almost all SilkRoad tours are fully private — just you, your party, and a licensed Egyptologist guide. Small-group options are available for select day trips if you prefer.
Is it safe to travel in Egypt right now?
Yes. The main tourist regions are well policed and we monitor conditions daily. Your guide and 24/7 local support team are with you throughout your journey.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before most tours, with a full refund. Nile cruises and multi-day trips have their own terms, shown clearly at checkout.
Can you customise an itinerary for me?
Absolutely — that's our speciality. Use the Custom Itinerary tab in the trip finder, or message us on WhatsApp, and we'll design a route around your dates, pace, and budget.
How do I pay, and is my deposit secure?
You can reserve with a small deposit and pay the balance later. Payments are processed through secure, encrypted gateways — we never store your card details.

Do you provide airport pickup?
Yes. Meet-and-greet airport transfers are available 24/7 at Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan and Sharm El-Sheikh, with a driver waiting in arrivals holding your name.
Are your drivers licensed and insured?
All drivers are professionally licensed, and every vehicle in our fleet is fully insured and regularly maintained. Most drivers speak English, and other languages can be arranged on request.
Can you handle large groups?
Yes. Our fleet of 30+ vehicles ranges from private sedans to full-size coaches, so we can move anything from a couple to a 50-person group with a single point of contact.
Do you offer intercity and long-distance transfers?
We do — comfortable long-distance transfers between all major cities and resorts, including Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan and the Red Sea, with rest stops planned around your schedule.
Is car rental with a driver available?
Yes. We rent modern vehicles with a professional driver by the day or for the length of your trip — a flexible way to explore at your own pace without navigating Egyptian roads yourself.
